Hey guys! Jia Siang here, bringing you the first episode of my podcast. In this episode, I interviewed
Stanlee Quach, a friend of mine who recently started playing League of Legends. He is still learning the
game and tells me what he finds fun in the game. There are some roles that he hasn't tried out in the game so I explain one of them to him called the jungler. I had fun interviewing him and seeing his opinion of League of Legends.

Analysis of Five Different Podcasts

I have recently come across five intriguing podcasts that have caught my attention. These various podcasts have no relation to one another, but teach insightful lessons in different topics. The first podcast I listened to was by "Outloud", starring Maria Konnikova on her psychology of the everyday. In this podcast, Konnikova discussed about phenomenon such as why yawning is contagious and problems like hitting the snooze button. This taught me that contagious yawning is caused by a signal for change between apes and humans. I also learned that going back to sleep after waking up resets the sleep cycle, which will further delay when you wake up.

"History in Five Minutes: Love in Ancient Egypt" (episode 38) gives a short but informative lesson on how love cultures in Ancient Egypt compare to the ones we have today. Scribes wrote poems to their loved ones, as some would do today. Their marriage rituals, however, were quite different.

"The Moth - Dan Barber: The Story of Boris" shares a story from Dan's life in which he is conflicted with the decision of what to do with his boar's life. Dan ends up sending him to the slaughterhouse to be made into sausages, saying that Boris will live on inside of him. This tale gives the message that rather than dying, loved ones are kept alive through other people's memories of them.

"Gamepro Culture Club: Episode 38 - Marvel Vs. Capcom 3" discusses what the 2-D fighting game, "Marvel Vs. Capcom 3", is about and the variety of characters in it. The cast also compares the game to other mash-up games such as "Street Fighter Vs. Tekken". They also share their favorite characters and why they chose them. While allowing players to be informed of details of "Marvel Vs. Capcom 3", the cast also compares it to other games in which the listeners who are gamers can relate to.
